Our new Church Library has launched! It is located upstairs of the Carey Center in the Carey Church Offices. Come up for a visit after the service to have a browse!
The Library consists of books, that’s right – retro books! The books have been donated by various people in our congregation. All the books are in alphabetical order by Author (surname). On the bottom shelves are books for children (in no particular order).
PLEASE NOTE: We have not necessarily read each book in the library and thus can’t vouch for every piece of content or theology therein – in fact we may even disagree with some things ourselves! So, if you do come across something of interest, or concern or intrigue, please do let us know and let’s chat about it and learn together.
At this stage we are not requiring any more books, but possibly at some stage next year we may ask for some more donations.
If you are wanting to become a member of this library (no cost), so you can borrow and return books, please fill out this Membership Form.
Nicole Coffey is the so called “Librarian” for this library and she is very happy to take your queries/questions regarding the library at any time: email@example.com or 0416 753 023.
The library will be open and manned by Nicole after the service on the last Sunday of each month (except December). It will also be open on weekdays during office hours where one of our friendly Admin Team will have a short form for you to fill out if you are wanting to borrow a book or two.
For a bit of fun … if you can think of a good name we can call the Library, please let Nicole know. There will be a small prize for the name we go with 😊
Over the month of October, we have explored the theme, Created for King and Community, in our Sunday preaching series. We have discovered that God has uniquely created each of us in order for us to bless others and serve Him. These resources can be used to help you unpack the spiritual gifts that God has given you, as well as discover your heart’s desires, explore your abilities and personality and help you to consider how your experiences might also impact your purpose.
We would love for you to get in contact with one of our Pastors or Discipleship Elders to arrange a time for a coffee and a chat to talk through what your spiritual giftings may be and to discover how you might be able to best use them. So don’t delay, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to book a catch up.
