Welcome to Alpha: Explore Life, Faith, and Meaning
At Carey Church, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore life, faith, and meaning in a safe and welcoming environment. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to Alpha β a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Alpha is more than just a course; it’s a journey where people from all walks of life can come together to ask questions, share their perspectives, and discover what it means to have a relationship with God. Whether you’re just beginning to explore Christianity, have questions about your faith, or simply want to connect with others in your community, Alpha is for you.
What to Expect
We will be exploring the Alpha material within our regular Sunday services during Term 2 (April 21 – June 23). Each Alpha session is designed to create a space where people can share their thoughts and explore the Christian faith in a relaxed and informal setting. Over a series of weeks, participants gather together to watch a short video exploring different aspects of the Christian faith, followed by small group discussions where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and express their opinions. We will still enjoy worship, prayer and other typical service inclusions, but we will also be serving breakfast from 9am with the service starting at 9:30am.
Who is Alpha For?
Alpha is for anyone β regardless of background, beliefs, or previous experience with Christianity. Whether you’re a skeptic, a seeker, or a committed Christian looking to deepen your faith, Alpha welcomes you with open arms. Our aim is to create a non-judgmental space where everyone feels valued, heard, and respected.

Join Team Alpha
In addition to participating each week, we also invite you to join Team Alpha – and assist with the extra tasks like serving and cleaning up breakfast, setting and packing away tables and hosting a small group table.If you would like to join Team Alpha and help serve our community, then let us know how you are best able to serve by completing the form.
All Church Camp
Join us for a long weekend of Community, Holy Spirit, Food, and Adventure from 5:30pm Friday 31 May to 11:00am Monday 3 June 2024. Couples, Singles, Families, Young & Old are all welcome and invited to attend and all activities will be optional so you can decide what the right amount of “peopling” is for you.
Meals provided:
SaturdayΒ Breakfast, Morning Tea, lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Supper.
SundayΒ Breakfast, Morning Tea, lunch, AfternoonΒ Tea, Dinner, Supper.
MondayΒ Breakfast & Morning Tea.
Tea & Coffee available all weekend.
Bring your own snacks and additional drinks. Eat dinner before you arrive or eat picnic style when you get here.
Campers to provide: all bedding, including bottom sheet, sleeping bags/bedding, pillows, hand sanitiser (for personal use), towels and toiletries. (Beds are single bunks). You can find more information about Serpentine Camping Centre here:
PAYMENT INFORMATION
SoΒ EVERYONEΒ can attend, you can decide whether you will pay 100%, 75%, or 50% of the total ticket costs for your family and we will cover the rest. There is also an option for payment plans if that is helpful to you.
