Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all... Galatians 6:10

Safe Church at Carey
At Carey Church, we are committed to creating environments where children, young people, and vulnerable adults are respected and protected. In partnership with Baptist Churches Western Australia (BCWA), our staff and volunteers participate in Safe Church training and follow screening, reporting, and accountability processes informed by the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. These practices help us to foster ministry spacesβ€”from Sunday services to mid-week programsβ€”that aim to be safe, transparent, and caring, so that people can feel supported as they worship, serve, and grow.

Safe Church Workshops
If you’re involved in ministry with children, youth, or vulnerable people at Carey, attending a Safe Church Workshop is an important step in helping us create environments that are as safe, respectful and accountable as possible. While this workshop is a key part of the onboarding process for those in these roles, we also encourage all volunteers to take part. It offers helpful tools for fostering a culture of care and awareness across our church community.
