COVID-19 Response Updates

Latest update 12 February 2021

Hi Church!

Great news – per the announcement by the Premier, we can now resume normal services across Carey, which were in place prior to 31 January. We will continue to request that you sign into the contact register (electronic or paper copy), hand sanitise and appropriately socially distance. And we continue to make sure appropriate cleaning is undertaken.

We invite you to return to any of our services, in person at

  • 9:30am at Harrisdale (with our Carey Kids program)
  • 5:30pm at Harrisdale
  • 10:00am at Forrestdale (with our Carey Kids program)

For those not able to make a service, we will be streaming
our 9:15am Harrisdale service here.

Looking forward to seeing you soon

Mark and Peter

Serving others

This change in the way we do church has shifted us from being the church “gathered” to the church “scattered”. It has brought unprecedented opportunity to serve and love others in tangible ways in a time of real need.

I encourage you to take hold of this opportunity in two ways. Firstly, be seeking ways to serve your own friends, colleagues, neighbours and community. Give them a call to check-in. Find out what you can do to help – remembering to do so with the appropriate hygiene practices in place to care for both yourself and those you are helping.

In a similar way, we would love you to be part of the church community team who will be doing these  things for people: making calls to those in isolation, assisting with food delivery (either by shopping or providing meals for others), praying and/or being available to offer other assistance that might be required.  To join this team, please send an email to info@careychurch.asn.au. or go to our online form here.

A Flourishing Community of Hope

We continue to hold our vision that we are becoming a flourishing community of hope. It may look and feel a bit different to how we might have imagined it just a few months ago, but it is exciting to be seeking God’s heart for us, together.

Please make sure we have your updated details, so we can communicate well with you. If you become sick or are feeling isolated, please let us know so we can call to check-in. And, of course, if you have questions, please let us know –  info@careychurch.asn.au. is the email address to use.

Our hope rests on Jesus and on the knowledge of God’s love. Nothing can take that away or change it. We may be living in circumstances that feel different than we have experienced before, but we continue to live in the light of eternity and eternal love given by the Father and available through his Spirit.
